Here are a few sites that have successfully made the transition from print to online:
1.) Safeway, Inc.
http://www.safeway.com/IFL/Grocery/About-CSR
At the click of your mouse you are able to understand the company’s vision and its desire to balance the needs of their business with that of being responsible stewards of the planet and the communities they serve. The branded site offers viewers easy access to the information that is most relevant to them.
2.) McDonald’s
http://www.aboutmcdonalds.com/mcd/csr.html
The McDonald’s site uses social media and interactive tools to share their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Their blog allows customers to interact with the company and the up-to-date information give the viewer a sense that the work McDonald’s is doing in the community is an ongoing journey and it makes viewers want to come back and learn more.
3.) Target
http://hereforgood.target.com
Through smart design the site welcomes viewers to explore all the ways Target is helping the communities they serve. Although the site does not offer social media and interactive tools like McDonalds, the site is full of compelling information and visuals that allow the viewer to have a deeper understanding of Target’s values.
